Nina Wessel
To pass on what I have learnt from my teachers, my own experience, achievements and struggles. Yoga may start as a fitness regime, but as time passes it becomes an inner journey as much as a physical one.
I knew since my first month practicing yoga that I wanted to teach. But it took 10 years before I felt I had enough experience in my own practice to take on the responsibility of teaching others. And since then, I never looked back. To see students progress, gain control of their breath, lose their fears or maybe become more humble, all the changes that happens both on a physical and emotional level with all the different personalities that pass through the classes, gives me joy every day. My yoga journey started with Sivananda, transitioned via Vinyasa to Ashtanga, and led me via injury to Hatha. Ashtanga is my passion, but when wrist pain forced me to take a break from the practice, I turned to Hatha. The gentle Hatha was healing and calming at the time I needed it most, and today I teach both. |
